On January 2006 Guinn & Simpson Memorials Co.LTD. received the Centennial Business Award from Manitoba Historical Society. To qualify for historic status in Manitoba, a business must have the same name continuously for at least a 100 years. Guinn & Simpson Memorials, now located at 52 Tupper Street North in Portage la Prairie , originally started in Neepawa in 1905 and moved to Portage in 1919. Since its founding Guinn and Simpson Memorials produced and installed beautiful quality monuments, headstones and markers that tell STORIES IN STONE
